Our Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
AI Home Inventory is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We believe your household data is private to you.
1. Data Collection
A. The Application (FindPlace / AI Home Inventory)
The application operates entirely offline on your local machine. We do not collect, upload, store, or share any personal files, photos, room inventories, location coordinates, or spreadsheet data. All of your files and data scans are stored strictly on your own device.
B. The Website (jamesrome.com)
We use Google Analytics (a third-party service provided by Google, Inc.) on our website to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. This includes:
Tracking page views and visitor counts.
Logging click and download events for our program installers (e.g., counting how many times each app is downloaded).
Collecting basic device attributes (browser type, operating system, general location).
This data is processed in a way that does not identify individual visitors. Google Analytics uses cookies to gather this information. You can learn more about how Google uses data when you visit partners' sites by visiting Google's Privacy & Terms. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by configuring your browser's cookie settings or installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
2. Third-Party AI Services
To provide automatic item valuations and descriptions, the app connects directly to OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Google Gemini via the API key you configure in settings. Your data is sent directly to these official endpoints to perform the calculations and is not intercepted or stored by us.
3. Security
Your API keys and licensing credentials are saved securely in the device's native sandboxed storage, ensuring they are inaccessible to other apps.
