Download AI_Home_Inventory_Creator.apk to your Android phone or tablet.

  • When you open the link on their Android phone or tablet, it downloads the APK.
  • When you tap the downloaded file, Android will prompt you to "Allow installation from unknown sources" (a standard one-time toggle in Android settings).
  • Once allowed, the app installs directly onto your phone/tablet with its own icon and full functionality.

This version has the voice input features added to the iPad version.

  1. Room Creation & Voice Notes:
    • Tap the microphone icon next to the Room Name or Session Hint fields to dictate room names (e.g., "Master Bedroom", "Kitchen Pantry") and AI context notes.
  2. Object Group Titling :
    • Tap the microphone icon next to each cluster/group to dictate custom group descriptions.
  3. Inventory Search & Item Editing :
    • Dictate searches to quickly find cataloged items.
    • Edit item descriptions and notes using voice input in the item details view.
  4. Report Metadata :
    • Dictate your default spreadsheet title and inventory owner name.

Where are your photos?

On Android (and iOS), modern mobile operating systems run apps inside a secure sandbox to protect user privacy.

Where the files live on your phone:

  • Internal Storage Location: Android/data/com.jamesarome.homeinventorymobile/files/rooms/Computer Room
  • What is inside:
    • The full-resolution room photos (e.g. object_group_1.jpg, object_group_2.jpg)
    • inventory.json (the saved AI valuations, item descriptions, and bounding boxes)
    • .timestamps.json (original EXIF photo timestamps)

How to export / share your inventory:

Because internal app folders are sandboxed by Android:

  1. When you run the AI valuation and go to the Spreadsheet tab, tap Export Spreadsheet (.xlsx).
  2. The app will open Android's native Share sheet, allowing you to save the Excel file directly into your phone's Downloads, Google Drive, Files app, or send it via Email.
